Projects, workflows, runs

Everything in wfnexus lives in a hierarchy: a project (a repository with .wfx/workflows/) holds workflows, and a workflow holds runs. There are no global lists of runs, and there is no builder at the top level. The UI is a drill-down, and each level is one hash route in apps/ui/src/App.tsx:

Route What you see
#/projects Every project, its category, and its workflows and run activity.
#/projects/:p One project’s workflows.
#/projects/:p/+new Start a workflow in this project.
#/projects/:p/:w One workflow: its steps and recent runs.
#/projects/:p/:w/edit Edit it. When the project is a git repo, the save becomes a proposal.
#/projects/:p/:w/run Start a run with its inputs.
#/projects/:p/:w/runs/:id One run, step by step, with the agent’s tool calls streamed live over SSE.

The top navigation also has Templates, Skills & tools, Workers and System.

Terminal window
wfx projects # every project: workflows and run activity
wfx project add ~/code/api --as api --category development
wfx workflows # list workflows
wfx workflows show <name> # every step's harness: skills, tools, team, budget, gates
wfx runs --project api --workflow nightly # recent runs, newest first
wfx show <run-id> # a run, step by step
wfx logs <run-id> -f # the activity log
wfx retry <run-id> --step <id> # re-run from a step
wfx cancel <run-id>

A project says what kind of work it does. wfx project categories lists the ids and wfx project set <name> --category <id> sets one. There are 17 of them, defined in internal/workflow/categories.go: development, debugging-ops, security, data, product-design, support, sales, marketing, finance, legal, hr, operations, healthcare, research, education, public-sector and general.
